Where can I stay in/around Cannes during film festival (last min.)?
- May 10th to 25th (but dates are flexible as long as I’m there during the festival)
- Looking for a nice hotel in Cannes (if you can recommend somewhere you’ve stay previously, that would be great!)
- OR in a neighboring city.. as long as its easily accessible by train or public transport

Thought I had answered your question a couple of days ago, but I will repeat it as it may have been deleted:
I am going to give you some very sound advice, during the film festival period hotel prices rocket – it is virtually think of a number – double it and add 100%. It’s that bad, my advice is to stay somewhere like Antibes, Juan les Pins, Vallauris, Mougins or the likes – you will reduce your accommodations costs by 60% compared with Cannes. Looking at my contact lists for Cannes – May2010 – there is virtually nothing available, even the Mercure – a 2 star establishment has nothing available between 9th – 17th. Outside of those dates they are looking for 192 Euros a night for a double/twin room – without breakfast.
Transport links in the area are pretty good, a regular train service from Antibes and Juan les Pins and regular local buses from Vallauris and Mougins
